Driving High is Impaired Driving

Driving high is impaired driving. Cannabis can slow your reaction time, coordination, and judgment for many hours, sometimes up to a full day after using. On the road, that puts everyone at risk. In Ontario, it also means an immediate licence suspension, fines, possible vehicle impoundment, and even criminal charges. And if you’re a young, novice, or commercial driver, it’s zero tolerance. If you’ve consumed cannabis, don’t drive. It’s not worth the gamble

Law Enforcement Torch Run

On May 14, 2026, we hosted the 39th Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Ontario.

Runners, walkers, and cyclists travelled several different routes throughout Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge to help raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics, covering almost 60 kilometres.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run is the largest fundraiser for Special Olympics worldwide, and we are very grateful to the community and our partner agencies for their support.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this event and to all the volunteers who helped us make it such a success. An extra special thank you to Rapid Relief Team Canada and Boston Pizza on Pinebush in Cambridge for their generous contribution of food and refreshments.

Behind the Badge, There’s Mom

Behind every recruit is someone who helped them get there.

This past Mother’s Day, our newest recruits took a moment away from training to write letters to those who supported them through every challenge, sacrifice, and milestone along the way.

Thank you to all the moms who helped shape the people behind the badge.
